Butyl glazing tape for windows is a pre-formed, non-hardening sealant that comes on a roll. It’s made from butyl rubber and never shrinks or cracks. You press it into the frame rebate, set the glass, and compress it with the beads. The tape fills gaps up to about 2mm and adjusts to small frame movements without losing grip. For window glazing, it works on timber, aluminium, steel, and uPVC. And because it’s not a liquid sealant, there is no curing time, no odour, and no sticky tools to clean. This glazing butyl tape also handles temperature swings from freezing winter nights to hot summer afternoons without turning brittle or running.

HOW TO USE

• Wipe the frame rebate clean – no dust, oil, or old sealant chunks.
• Stick the butyl glazing tape for windows, leaving the paper liner on until glass is ready.
• Place the glass unit onto the tape, then peel the exposed liner from the other side.
• Push the glazing beads or stops firmly in place – the tape should squash to about 10% of its original thickness for a good seal.
